This necklace has a small skull totem attached to a leather cord.

As an action you can use this necklace to cast the animate dead spell on a single target without requiring any material components.
The spell lasts as long as the necklace remains on the target as long as it is intact.
Once removed or the target is destroyed the necklace cannot be used for 1d6 days.

History:

  • Fought and defeated Fell, the foul female human necromancer and her horde of zombies and criminal associates at the border fort of the Kingdom of Farway
  • Inside the Fort's Vault, Corwyn found Fell's notes on necromantic magic detailing how to create zombies.
  • Corwyn also found and laid claim to Fell's "Necklace of the Restless Dead", which will allow him to raise a single humanoid zombie or skeleton to add to his Shadowfell Squad.

    Design Notes:

    Its cost is 500 gp.
    + 500 gp to cast animate dead (rare ability)
