Cloak of the Elven Mountebank
(wondrous item, rare, requires attunement)

Last Updated: May 10, 2023
Campaign: The Lost Mine

This hooded cloak smells faintly of brimstone and is adorned with symbols of nature such as leaves and vines whose shape and color seem to shift.

While you wear the "Cloak of the Elven Mountebank" with its hood up, Wisdom (Perception) checks made to see you have disadvantage, and you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide, as the cloak's color shifts to camouflage you.
Pulling the hood up or down requires an action.

While wearing the "Cloak of the Elven Mountebank", you can use it to cast the dimension door spell as an action.
This property of the cape can't be used again until the next dawn.

When you disappear, you leave behind a cloud of smoke, and you appear in a similar cloud of smoke at your destination.
The smoke lightly obscures the space you left and the space you appear in, and it dissipates at the end of your next turn.
A light or stronger wind disperses the smoke.
