This stone tablet is incribed with various runes.

This tablet is inscribed with dwarven runes, only it is not written in dwarvish, but rather goblinoid.
The tablet contains the formula needed to create a "Potion of Ogre Strength" (see below), curse and all.
A player character would still be required to follow any magic item creation rules used by the DM in their campaign.

When you drink a "Potion of Ogre Strength", your Strength score could change for 1 hour to that of an ogre (STR 19/+4).
The potion has no effect on you if your Strength is equal to or greater than that score.
Cursed:When you drink this potion, roll a d6, on a 1 or a 2, your strength is reduced to that of a goblin instead (STR = 8/-1) for 1 hour.

History:

  • Ogres have often bullied and lived with goblin tribes.
  • This has given goblin alchemist's the opportunity to develop a "Potion of Ogre Strength" and brew them for their tribal warriors in battle.
  • The formula to brew a "Potion of Ogre Strength" is often written down on a dwarven rune inscribed tablet written in goblin and hidden somewhere within a goblin warren.
  • Do to a flaw in the process, there is a chance that it will act as a "Potion of Goblin Strength" instead.
  • For a goblin or someone who is already that weak or weaker, this is not an issue, for others... well... it can be a nasty surprise...
