This is an orc weapon known as a battle blade. It looks like a longer, slightly curved long sword but has a extra thick heavier blade serrated on both sides. The hilt bears an engraved black Eye of Gruumsh.

"Parslik" the 'elf slicer' is an Elfbane Battle Blade +2.

For those with Orc Blood, a battle blade is a martial weapon (longsword), for all others, it is an exotic weapon. It is also heavy (Weight 12 lbs, hardness 10) making it awkward to wield, the user gets a -1 penalty to AC. Base damage is 1d10 +2 (from the serration) and is half bludgeoning, half slashing.

It has been enchanted with magic to provide an aditional +2 enhancement bonus to hit and damage.

Against those of elven blood, "Parslik" instead provides a magical +4 bonus to hit, and +2d6+4 damage.

    History

  • Deep in the bowels of the Grey Citidel lies the tomb of Tursk the One-Tusk (once a chosen of Gruumsh).
  • When the wanderers of the Wyld opened the sarcophagus of Tursk the One-Tusk, there was no body.
  • Instead, was the sword "Parslik" the 'elf slicer' and the shield "Parbazz" the 'elf basher'.
  • A map was carved into the bottom showing lands that are now the Kingdom of Kern, and an X, with the symbol of Gruumsh above it.
  • Perhaps the map will lead to the true tomb of Tursk the One-Tusk.
  • Cherry used Noir, a dragon blade with the strength of adamantine, to deface the map to make it harder for others to find the tomb.
  • Vanark Tork, the half-orc Ranger, has claimed both "Parslik" and "Parbazz" for now.
