This is a ring of solid gold.

To those of full elven blood (and non-drow) "Erevan's Ring of Evasion" continually grants the wearer the ability to avoid damage as if they had evasion. Whenever you make a Reflex saving throw to determine whether you take half damage, a successful save results in no damage.

To those who are half elven blood, get a racial +2 bonus to Reflex saves instead of the evasion ability.

However, "Erevan's Ring of Evasion" is cursed. Drow and non-elves get a -5 penalty to hit, damage, saving throws, ability checks and skill checks if worn.

ok, so just to clarify: full elf (non drow) = evasion ability half elf (non drow) = +2 racial reflex bonus non elf (plus drow) = -5 to almost everything (curse)

    History:

  • After the Wanderers of the Wyld defeated the swarm of orcs in the courtyard and throne room of the Grey Citidel, they were able to search some of the rooms nearby.
  • They found various tributes in the chambers being used by emissaries of another orc tribe who came to witness the ascension of Krull, an orc warlord, chosen of Grumush, and not of the surface orcs.
  • One such tribute was a wooden box decorated with starburst rays, the symbol of Erevan Ilesere, the trickster god of the Seldarine. Inside was a gold ring lying in a blue velvet cloth.
  • Ash Thorn, the killoren scout, claimed the ring upon learning of its evasion abilities.
  • However, the next time they were in combat, Ash found himself missing easy shots, and of those that hit, they did not strike true, causing less damage.
  • Realizing it was the ring, Ash removed it, and his archery prowess returned.
  • Taking a chance that Erevan Ilesere would watch over those of "Elven Blood", Cherry Blossum, the half-elf warblade claimed the ring, and slipped it on her finger.
  • Cherry theorized that perhaps the orcish emissaries knew of the curse on the ring, and offered it up as tribute to Krull, to potentially weaken him, should they need to take him out in combat.
