    Bond:
    Flaw:

They are all gone. The orcs took them from me. They were taken care of, but the scum who drove them are still at large. I will hunt them down.

Bohatey had been set up as a trading post close to the Kingdom of Many Arrows. It was meant to allow some economic normality between the dwarves and the orcs, and to provide some stability to the region. It also served as a listening post - the dwarves weren't taking any chances. Any signs of orc unrest, and the dwarves would mobilize immediately. Though a small enclave above ground, below the surface, a secret bunker had been built in case of disaster. A single underground tunnel (trapped heavily) ran from Bohatey towards the dwarven kingdoms to its south to allow a messenger to reach reinforcements quickly and efficiently.

The orcs came without warning and with magical assistance. Portals opened up all around Bohatey, spewing hordes of the smelly beasts as they began their onslaught. Captain Hanmar knew immediately that our forces didn't stand a chance above ground so we withdrew quickly to the bunker and prepared to repel the invaders. Shikae, not much older than a dwarfling, was sent down the tunnel to warn the others and to muster the dwarven forces.

The bunker should have been our haven - easy to defend and well-provisioned. It became our tomb. The stone walls began to shake and crumple as the earth above us was torn apart. Rocks cascaded down and buried me. It was the only reason I survived - the orcs didn't find me as I was knocked unconscious beneath the rubble. My brethren fought back bravely, but the orcs overwhelmed them. As the stones rained down on me, I had an unexpected sight as I lost consciousness. A dragonborn, red-scaled, powerful in build, casting powerful magic that tore our defenses apart.

I awoke later - it had to have been at least a day I lay unconscious. I dug myself out. Dwarf bodies were strewn about. Numerous orcs lay dead as well, but that did not bolster my emotions. I later learned that Shikae had managed to reach Mithral Hall. The dwarven counter-attack was swift and brutal. The orcs were destroyed. They were tribes who had suddenly banded together to wage war on the dwarves. The Kingdom of Many Arrows claimed innocence. How could they not when a dwarven army was breathing down their neck? A tentative peace has been restored, but the dragonborn was never found.

There had been no love lost between the tribes that had attacked. What had driven them to unite and attack so recklessly? It was almost as if they were driven mad with blood-lust. I don't know the answer to that and nor do I care. I will hunt the dragonborn down, and any of his allies, and split their skulls open and leave their bodies for the ravens. That will be enough.
