Sage Solo is a female wood elf rogue. She will often entertain crowds with her dancing, juggling and tumbling. One admirer gifted her with a small trinket, a tiny chest carved to look like it has numerous feet on the bottom (once per day, adds 5 ft to movement for 1 minute). She later learned that it contained a love note folded up neatly inside it. Her travels have brought her to the town of Orlbar, at the foot of the Greypeak Mountains near the Weathercote Wood.
Sage entered the Weathercote Wood to rescue Darek Brewmont from the Death Knight. During her search, she explored a Temple of Amaunator, pillaged the hideout of Bradigan and his rogues, met the madman and got a blessing from Plumeria, fought and killed two fanatic cultists wearing amulets made from an embossed steel disc that depicts a red gauntlet. She made a hasty retreat from two giant wolf spiders and rested for the night to lick her wounds. The next day, she continued to explore, looking for the Red Tree where the Death Knight had been hung from when he had lived. She was attacked by Grum and his goblins, but killed them in a very close combat. She then found the Red Tree, and made a stake from a branch.
When she found the death knight and the boy, his undead nature sent shivers down her spine, frightening her (-1 hit). As the creature strode toward her with its blade, she tossed her ball bearings in front of it and tossed a dagger to the boy. Its blade bit deep, but the death knight still slipped on the ball bearings falling prone. Sage, now with an ally, landed a solid hit, but not enough. The boy showed courage, as he got in some solid hits with the dagger. But the death knight slashed out from the floor in a deathly fury, striking Sage, and putting her on death's door. Still fearful, Sage kissed her shortsword twice. Plumeria's Blessing filled her blade with woodland magic (+1 hit). Sage struck true, dropping the death knight cold. She drove the Red Tree stake through its lifeless heart, and the creature crumbled to dust. She brought the boy home, and claimed her reward.
Sage has decided she needs a touch of magic to fight magic, and is pursuing the art of the arcane trickster.
She has an owl familiar named "Shadow". "Sage's Shadow - get it - nudge, nudge, wink, wink."
Sage Solo has arrived at Zhentil Keep, known to be a hive of villainy, but also for its opportunity. A place to make your fortune for the brave and the bold.
Upon arrival in Zhentil Keep, she goes into The Scoundrel's Tankard tavern. Meets Muktash, a half-orc, who talks about false rumours of an orc army heading towards citidel of the raven. Two thugs attack him for being a half-orc, Sage puts one to sleep and knocks the other out. The crowd cheers, and Muktash is able to leave safely. At another table, Sage meets Ganadhir Dorfolin, a one-legged dwarf, and Anika, a woman whose daughter is taken by slavers. Sage offers to help rescue the girl. Ganadhir says to meet him in the large warehouse to the northeast of East Dock, tomorrow night, an hour before midnight. Getting late, Sage goes to The Stout Miner Inn (2 gp/night) for a room to sleep.
The next day, she went to spend the reward the Brewmont's had given her. On her way to Scimitar Street, she spots a hairless humanoid stalking her, but it disappears before she could react. She visits the Sword In The Forge on Scimitar Street, where Kelelan of Vaasa, a dark skinned young woman, lures her into the backroom and kisses her passionately in the back room before showing her their special stock. On her way to Market Square, Sage is lured into an ambush by Annaya the Sorceress, who she defeats, thanks to her Shadow causing distractions. At Market Square, Sage has fun picking out a whole bunch of fun items, along with picking the pockets of many wealthy and affluent Zhents. On her way to Arcana Lane, she saves an old man being attacked by rat person in an alley. She purchases a whole bunch of potions and items in Arcana Lane, and even won the door prize at one shop. She had seen a note the day before offering a reward to defeat the spectre haunting the southern ruins. She sees a note along the way, telling of a cashe of goods hidden in the dragon spire mountains behind a waterfall. Searching the ruins, she finds some loot, but as she arrives before a ruined temple, the rubble comes to life. Once she defeats the guardian, she enters and recieves a message from Mystra. The hour is late, so she returns to the Inn for some rest before she meets Ganadhir.
As promised, Sage meets Ganadhir in the warehouse along with his nephew Danadhir, son of Baladhir. They explain, the girl, along with other slaves, are on the ship "Mulmaster Pride" which is owned by Marsh Belwintle, the Zhentarim Slave Lord. Sage disguises herself and uses a crate to sneak Danadhir onto the boat. They manage to get to the slave pen below decks where the slaves are held. Sage and Danadhir smash the locks to the slave pens, freeing them. A dark paladin slaver and guards appear. Sage rallies the slaves to storm out and defeat their captors. Sage is significantly injured, but she and Danadhir slay the dark paladin slaver and return the girl to her mother Anika.
Later that night, she met Teodric, an elf, who belongs to the ancient order of the Knights of Myth Drannor. Sage was brought to meet Huon Falconhand, the leader of Knights of Myth Drannor in hiding in Zhentil Keep. There were six old men, but she only got a few of their names: Huon, Addy, and Illis. They asked her to find the secret Zhent tunnels the assassins used to enter the Citidel of the Raven and find out those responsible for killing Hawkhelm. They tell her that once she is inside Citidel of the Raven, she must find a Purple Dragon Knight called Sir Steval Skurynd, who can help her.
The next morning, after a long rest, Sage met Teodric, who would guide her to the base of the Dragonspire Mountains...
