Merchant Manor

  • Frame made from dollarama foam board for inner frame, with dollar tree foam board to get the plaster effect.
  • Cereal box card board used for wood trim, roof and roof shingles.
  • stone texture for chimney and foundation is from grey card board drink cup holder.
  • pogo sticks, popscicle sticks and matchsticks used for door, shutters, sign and window flower holder.
  • knitting grating used for window panes, plan to glue clear plastic.
  • wip - still deciding to paint or leave as is

    Under Construction

  • made the windows too big on one side, so replaced the middle foam board with a wider piece to make windows less wide.
  • found the backside too plain, so added extra trim (see above)
  • also decided sides needed more detail so aded shutters (see above)
  • ditto with front, added sign, extra roof trim, flower bed holder and shutter for front window (see above)
