The name "Waymaker" is incribed on the axe blade in dwarven runes.

    Waymaker is a battleaxe +2.

However, in the hands of dwarf, Waymaker becomes a Dwarven Thrower Battleaxe +3 with the following abilities:

  • It has been enchanted with magic to provide a +3 enhancement bonus to hit and damage.
  • When thrown, it has a range increment of 30 ft and does +2d8 damage.
  • Like a returning weapon, it will fly back to the square that it was thrown from and the wielder can catch it as a free action just before the start of their next turn.
  • Grants a +1 competence bonus to all Survival skill checks
  • As a free action, after you have dropped an opponent, the wielder can cleave, just as if they had the feat. Activating the "Cleave" feat can be done once per day.
  • If the wielder already has the cleave feat, then they can activate another cleave after dropping a second oppenant in the same attack swing.
  • There is no benefit for someone who has the great cleave feat.
  • Waymaker can be used to cast Stoneshape once per week.
  • Waymaker can be used to cast Find the path once per month.

    History

  • Ebreck the Dwarf claimed Waymaker after finding it in the hoard of Magnimus, a now very dead red dragon, who also once had the 6th part of the Rod of Seven Parts.
