    This bow is carved from a single bone of a gargantuan red dragon. The smooth polished surface of the shaft scintillates in shades of scarlet.

    Halagaster’s Scintillating Scarlet Bow is a mighty long-range red-dragonbone composite longbow (STR 20).

    As a masterwork weapon, it provides a +1 enhancement bonus to hit.

    As a mighty composite longbow, it has a strength of 20, providing a +5 strength bonus to damage.

    Since it is crafted from red-dragonbone (see Draconomicon, p117), the bow’s range increment is 20 feet longer than normal for the bow’s type, so as a composite longbow, it has a range increment of 130 ft.

    In addition, it has been crafted with the long-range item quality (see Dragon Magazine 358, p42), which adds an additional 20 ft to the bows range increment, for a total range increment of 150 ft.
