This delicately balanced exotic greatspear is made from darkwood, making it light and easy to use in battle. Its deadly spear tip shimmers with a blue-gray hue while a transparent black crystal embedded in the base of the spear tip has a faint, sickly glow.
Okul's Greatspear is a Darkwood Collision Greatspear +1.
A greatspear is an exotic weapon (see Complete Warrior, p 154) that does 2d6 base damage. As a weapon made from darkwood, it weighs half as much as a regular greatspear.
It has been enchanted with magic to provide a +1 enhancement bonus to hit and damage.
The collision enchantment means Okul's Greatspear does an additional +5 points of damage on a successful hit.
Okul's Greatspear currently has a Lesser Crystal of Life Drinking attached to the base of its pommel
Lesser Crystal of Life Drinking
Magic Item Compendium (p 64)
A Lesser Crystal of Life Drinking bestows a small amount of life energy upon you each time you damage a living creature with the weapon to which the crystal is attached. Dealing non-lethal damage with the weapon doesn’t activate the crystal’s effect. Each time you deal damage to a living creature with the weapon to which this crystal is attached, you heal 3 points of damage. When the crystal has healed a total of 30 points of damage, it becomes inert until the following day.
The Lesser Crystal of Life Drinking can be attached to any weapon with at least a +1 enhancement bonus. Attaching or removing the crystal of life drinking from a weapon is a move action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
