This bow is carved from a single bone of a large black dragon. A glittering chain of gemstones, alternating between fire opals and jacinths dangles from the bottom of its grip.
Despayr's Arc is a Black-Dragonbone Composite Longbow +1 (STR 10).
It has been enchanted with magic to provide a +1 enhancement bonus to hit and damage.
As a composite longbow, it has a strength of 10, providing a +0 strength bonus to damage.
Since it is crafted from black-dragonbone (see Draconomicon, 117), the bow’s range increment is 20 feet longer than normal for the bow’s type, so as a composite longbow, it has a range increment of 130 ft
It currently has a Least Phoenix Ash Threat Crystal attached to its pommel.
Least Phoenix Ash Threat Crystal
Magic Item Compendium (p 65)
The augment crystal known as a phoenix ash threat leaves smoldering embers on your enemies after every strike. Each round, at the start of your turn, the embers deal fire damage to each target struck by the weapon in the previous round.
If you hit a creature with a weapon bearing this crystal, that target takes 1 point of fire damage on the following round. Multiple hits by the weapon against the same target aren’t cumulative.
The Least Phoenix Ash Threat Crystal can be attached to any weapon of at least masterwork quality. Attaching or removing the Least Phoenix Ash Threat Crystal from a weapon is a move action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
