This dagger is made from silver and sculpted in the shape of a broken stag horn.

Corruptor is a masterwork silver dagger. The broken stag horn shape of the blade marks it as a special unholy symbol of the Hidden Lord (DC 20 knowledge religion check).

Its masterwork quality provides a base +1 enhancement bonus to hit in combat.

As a silver weapon, it can bypass DR of that type, however, since it is not as hard as steel, it does -1 point of damage on a hit.

As a special unholy symbol of the Hidden Lord (see Complete Champion p133), followers of the Hidden Lord can use Corruptor as a divine focus to cast divine spells. When used to cast Charm or Trickery domain spells, either in the domain spell slot or when cast from a normal divine spell slot, Corruptor increases your effective caster level by 1.

    History

  • Lady Oriana was given Corruptor as a gift from her mentor, Ghauntz the Cloaked, once she completed her initiation as a cleric of the Hidden Lord.
  • Lady Oriana returned to Waterdeep to serve the Knights of the Shield under Lord Bly and to increase the power of the Hidden Lord.
  • Corruptor provides a direct divine connection between the Hidden Lord and Lady Oriana. The Hidden Lord's whispers inspire Lady Oriana to take action in the name of the Hidden Lord.
  • Someone who is not a follower of the Hidden Lord would hear naught but unintelligible gibberish whispering in their ear. They may think they are being driven mad by the sheer insanity thrust upon them.
  • It is said that items with a strong connection to the Hidden Lord allow him to hear everything within speaking range.
  • It is also said that the Hidden Lord can also compel the bearer of such an item to do his bidding (DC 30 Will save).
