    The individual segments are 4,5,6,7,8, 9, and 10 inches long. Assembled the rod is a little over 4 ft long. The metal of the assembled rod or its segments appears to be made from a lusterless black substance of indeterminate weight. The fully assembled rod weighs 5 lbs, but feels as light as a feather.

    The "Rod of Seven Parts" is a powerful artifact. Each of the seven segments has its own unique magic power.

    Rod #4 (7");

    Rod #5 (8");

    Rod #6 (9");

    Rods can also be combined, but this must be with an adjacent rod. For example, Rod 1 and Rod 2 can be combined, as can Rod 2 and Rod 3. However Rod 1 and Rod 3 cannot be combined, unless Rod 2 is inbetween them. In addition, combining rod segments together allows access to additional abilities as indicated below.

  • command word "my might is right, drive evil from my sight"

    Any seven Rod segments;

  • acts as a quarterstaff +5 blunt/+5 piercing; and
  • "greater restoration" (caster level = ?);

    History:

  • Nuria Darkfire and her companions embarked on an epic quest in the World of Greyhawk to find and assemble the seven segments of the "Rod of Seven Parts".
  • Nuria Darkfire used the retributive strike ability from the "Rod of Seven Parts" to destroy the physical manisfestation of Orcus as it attempted to enter into the prime material plane.
  • The retributive strike caused the "Rod of Seven Parts" to break apart back into its seven segments, scattering them across time and space, whereabouts unknown and waiting to be found once more...
