Crystal Chernov can control up to (4 HD/caster level) = 20 HD 
worth of undead using the animate dead spell.
Total HD controlled = 10 HD / 20 HD

Crystal Chernov can control undead = cleric level = 5 HD
Total HD controlled = 0 HD / 5 HD

Crystal Chernov used a divine scroll of animate dead to create 10 HD 
worth of human zombies (2 HD each, so 5 Zombies).

She also used a divine scroll of desecrate beforehand in an area unholy 
to Cyric so that the created zombies would have +2 hp/HD = +4 hp.
